Tailored Training

Tailored courses are those that have been designed to meet the needs of a specific organisation or workplace. They usually incorporate instruction and discussion around relevant internal policies and processes, scenarios and focus areas. Most of the training we deliver is tailored.

Design and development approach

Accrete works closely with our clients to ensure that they get as much value from our services as possible. We are flexible in our approach to design and development of courses and will work with you in the way you need. A common approach we use involves meeting with our client and any other relevant stakeholders to determine the outcomes desired for the course. This typically involves a conversation about:

  • why the course is needed (eg: current gap in skills / attitude / experience etc)
  • who the participants will be (responsibilities, experience level, team members or managers etc)
  • whether there are any specific topics that should / should not be included
  • whether there are any specific issues that should be focussed on (eg: Appropriate Workplace Behaviours will often focus on the issues that regularly arise in the particular workplace to ensure the course is as valuable and relevant as possible), and
  • the learning outcomes that need to be achieved.

 Any internal policies, procedures etc that relate to the subject area are provided to us and discussed to ensure that we are able to contextualise the course as much as possible.

Accredited Training​

We deliver the following nationally accredited VET qualifications:

  • BSB51915 Diploma of Leadership and Management
  • BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management ​

We deliver contextualised versions of both programs to a number of different Northern Territory Government Agencies, and a Certificate IV which is available to the public. We are also able to deliver any of the Competency Units that make up either qualification. For example we are currently delivering an Emerging Leaders program which centres around the delivery and assessment of five Competency Units focussed on managing yourself and managing an effective team. ​

We offer a single public course each year through the NT Government Training Entitlement Package. Our next public course is scheduled to commence in February 2018. ​

Coaching

We provide one-on-one leadership and management coaching for executive, senior, middle and first line managers or supervisors. As the responsibilities of being a leader have become increasingly complex it is sometimes prudent to seek outsider perspective and counsel in relation to the many confidential and delicate issues that a leader faces.

Our approach: We believe that the key to a successful coaching relationship is a good fit between the two parties. Before we agree to provide coaching services we will meet with the candidate to discuss the outcomes that are being sought and the level of time and effort that will be required. This also provides the parties with an opportunity to get to know each other well enough to determine if the fit is an effective one.

If both parties agree to proceed then regular discussions are held to workshop issues as they arise.

Team Building

Teams are more efficient and collaborative when they have a clear and common aim, a shared understanding of their purpose and the role that each team member plays in achieving that purpose, and when the relationships within them are built on trust and mutual respect. In much the same way that we service our cars, it is prudent to consider putting your team in for a service every now and then.

We provide a range of team building services including:

Workshops

  • Half-day or full day workshops targeted at giving the team time out of the work unit to refresh their understanding of what their organisation is all about, why their job exists and how workplace culture can make or break a team. ​These workshops also

Delivery of a series of workshops with each workshop focussing on a different theme including, for example:

  • The big picture (Vision, Mission, Strategic and Operational objectives);
  • Workplace culture (Values and expected behaviours);
  • Conflict resolution and how to have difficult conversations;
  • Emotional intelligence and the importance of professionalism

Hermann

The HBDI® (Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument) is a powerful psychometric assessment that defines and describes the degree to which we think in the four quadrants of the Whole Brain® Model. The data helps us adapt our thinking preferences to communicate effectively, improve decision making and problem solving.

After completing the survey, you will receive a comprehensive HBDI® Profile report that includes in-depth interpretation of the results, reference material about the Whole Brain® Model, comparison data, and activities for further exploration and development. You also have access to the HBDI® app for immediate insight and application upon completion of the survey.​
