AMANDA LEAHY, PRINCIPAL

Amanda joined Accrete as a facilitator in January 2014, undertook intensive coaching to learn the craft, grew her portfolio of courses, and eventually took over ownership in September 2017.

As the owner and operator of Accrete, Amanda exercises the technical, financial and management responsibilities associated with running a business, as well providing all frontline services. She is responsible for the design, development and delivery of tailored leadership and management training to a wide range of public and private sector clients as well as the facilitation of  planning days, culture refresh sessions and team building workshops. 

Complementing these endeavours, Amanda plays an active role in supporting community organisations through volunteering her time as a facilitator and trainer, most recently delivering a range of workshops for the BPW Darwin 2021 and 2022 Mentoring Programs, and speaking at the 2021 and 2022 'No One Left Behind' conferences.

Prior to joining Accrete, Amanda was a family law solicitor specialising in complex property settlements and Binding Financial Agreements. She has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution including round table conferences, negotiation and mediation. Throughout her legal career Amanda was responsible for the delivery of Professional Development seminars and is a natural educator. She also served as a volunteer solicitor for the Sunshine Coast Legal Service and a Committee member of HOPE, a Queensland-based indigenous community group. 

Her experience as a family law solicitor resulted in exemplary research skills and an enviable ability to establish and maintain effective working and interpersonal relationships with a broad range of people at all levels.  

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Laws (2008), a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (2010), a Certificate IV in Training and Education and attended the Australian Institute of Company Director’s course (2020).
